BIO
With a depth and richness of voice not often heard within the modern day music industry, Sam is a rare reflection of a bygone era where singers could really sing! Often compared to Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé, 26 year old Sam has a miraculous ability to emulate their style and intonation whilst still doing it most definitely ‘his way’. In fact, so convincing is he that his online performances have often been confused for miming. One only has to witness Sam in full live flow though to realise he’s the real deal.
Born in Stourbridge in the West Midlands, Sam showed a great flair for music from a young age. Studying at school and college, he taught himself to play guitar and piano to a high standard, before establishing himself as a stand out vocalist.
With an eclectic taste in music he performed many styles making each his own. However, swing is where Sam has found his niche.
During the UK lockdown Sam really came into his own on social media, catching the attention of many new celebrity followers including Peter Andre, Coleen Nolan, Ruth Langsford, Shirlie Kemp and Zoe Tyler to name a few.
“You have an amazing talent and I’m sure you’re going to be huge” - Peter Andre
“I’m such a Sinatra fan and for me no one has ever come even slightly close until I was shown you” - Coleen Nolan
“Wow, he’s unbelievable!” - Ruth Langsford
Sam has performed at many venues across the UK from stately homes, to theatres, jazz clubs and pubs, regularly to sold out audiences. In constant demand, Sam offers a truly authentic swing spectacle with a look and voice to match.
Sam's most recent album "Sam Griffiths - Live at Stansted Park" also went straight to number 1 in the Apple Itunes Charts and gained significant attention and radio play across the UK.
In his spare time Sam is an avid Chelsea supporter and also a keen baker. He enjoys spending time with his partner Emily, his friends and taking part in various sporting activities. Sam counts Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Michael Bublé and Nat King Cole amongst his performance influences but enjoys a wide array of musical artists and genres naming Bruno Mars, Sergei Rachmaninov, The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind and Fire, John Williams, Hans Zimmer and Stevie Wonder, amongst others.
